Q. What type of real estate properties can you film?
A. We can film residential or commercial properties, or just land. Our larger drones have telephoto lenses, allowing us to fly higher to avoid obstacles such as trees
Q. Is drone filming legal in my area?
A. Generally, yes, unless you are near a 'FRZ' (Flight Restriction Zone) such as near an airport or prison, or if there is a temporary flight restriction in place, which we would check beforehand. It is the CAA that control the airspace, not landowners. Many areas in central London require special permission, which we can request on your behalf.
Q. Do you have the proper license and insurance required for commercial real estate work?
A. We are fully CAA qualified and have commercial insurance, with £5m public liability cover, so are legally allowed to undertake flights such as these.
Q. How long does it take to take drone video or photos of a property?
A. No time at all - flight time will likely be under 30 minutes, but could even be less than 15 minutes.
Q. Does the homeowner need to be present during the flight?
A. No. We will not need access to the property, unless the estate is so large that we cannot see the drone from the takeoff position.
Q. What is the process once the session is booked?
A. We will agree a time to come on-site, depending on weather conditions. Once filming is complete we'll then edit the photos/video, and send you a low-res watermarked version. Once approved, we'll send the invoice by email. Upon payment we'll provide a link to download the hi-res images.
Q. What weather conditions are you able to fly in?
A. It must be dry with moderate winds. We cannot fly in rain or high winds/gusts. If we do not travel/fly due to poor weather there is no fee to pay. You will have the opportunity to reschedule or cancel altogether.
Q. I am near an airport. Can you still take real estate photos/video?
A. We can request permission from the local air traffic control. Usually, they are reasonably accommodating.
Q. How do you take payment?
A. You can either pay by direct bank transfer or credit card (via PayPal). If you use your phone you can also use Apple Pay
Q. What's the standard turnaround time for photos or videos?
A. We usually deliver within 24 hours of the flight taking place, but if it is likely to be longer we will let you know at the time.
Q. Can you film indoors as well as outside?
A. Yes, however this would not be covered in the above costs.
Q. Can I request specific drone photo shots or phot angles?
A. Yes, within reason - if significant additional photos are required we will provide a price at the time.
Q. I am an estate agent. Do you offer bundle deals for multiple properties or repeat clients?
A. Yes, we are happy to agree a long-term package with you.
Q. What geographical areas are you able to serve?
A. We mainly cover Hertfordshire, North/East London and East Essex, but may be able to accommodate different locations within reason. Please contact us to find out more.
Q. Can you overlay information onto the video, such as address, agent branding or music?
A. Yes. We can include royalty free music, which you can choose in advance, and we can work with your estate agent on text and branding.
