  2. Set the Shutter Speed:

Once you’ve captured your hyperlapse sequence, post-processing is where the magic happens. Use editing software like Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve to enhance your footage:

  1. Reduce Noise: Night hyperlapses can have significant noise due to high ISO. Use noise reduction tools to clean up the image.
  2. Adjust Exposure and Contrast: Increase the contrast to make the light trails stand out against the dark background.
  3. Color Grade: Apply a cinematic color grade to give the footage a professional look. You can enhance the warmth of the light trails or add a cool tone to the night sky.
  4. Stabilise the Footage: If there are minor shakes or jitters, use video stabilisation tools such as Warp Stabiliser in Premiere Pro to smooth out the final video.
